This shows how to create a custom compositor in software. I found another example from Apple today that is really interesting. I'll be using this to play two simultaneous movie streams as input to the synth for processing. I've modified it to make it full screen, hide the cursor, and use key commands instead of the normal playback controls. On the Mac side, this example from Apple is a basic movie player. Some of the shader example code is deprecated and will take a little work. I'll be skipping the Windows stuff I've been able to run and understand most of the examples on the Jetson Nano running Ubuntu Linux. I've found some great example code that I've modified for my own use.įor OpenGL, this website has a lot of great examples and explanations for OpenGL on Windows, Mac and Linux. I have an iMac and a NVIDIA Jetson Nano, so I've starting coding the past month or so. I'm totally burned out on Windows, so I won't be going in that direction. I get frustrated when software costs $$$ and when it doesn't do what I want it to. In the mean time, I've started looking into custom software development to add to the mix. and am eagerly waiting on the LZX Gen3 modules. I've got the monitors, converters, recorders, etc. I'm starting a video synth rack after about 5 years of eurorack audio. Most of this was in MS Windows, which I have sworn to abandon forever I'm a retired IT guy with 40+ years of software and systems design, development, management, etc.
I'm wondering if we have any other software developer types on MW interested in custom video processing software.
